He got into this work because he believes a home should be more than four walls—it should be healthy, efficient, and built to last. Every visit is a chance for Brett to spot hidden opportunities, solve problems, and leave a home better than he found it. When he’s not helping homeowners, Brett can usually be found surfing, hiking, tackling a new DIY project, or spending quality time with his family. With more than a year and a half in the trade, Kate has become a key part of keeping things running smoothly at SM Mechanical. As a Solutions Provider, she touches nearly every part of the process—supporting customers, coordinating with techs, managing schedules, and making sure jobs stay on track from start to finish. She takes pride in being the one the team can count on to solve problems, keep communication flowing, and help deliver the dependable service customers count on.
Life outside of work keeps her busy, but in all the best ways. Kate is a proud mom to a lively 7-year-old boy and recently said “yes” to a lifetime with her best friend. Between parenting and planning a wedding, she still makes time to recharge and soak in the little moments that matter most.
Purcell Oxendine
Plumbing Manager
Purcell brings 17 years of hands-on experience in both plumbing and HVAC to every project. He’s always loved to “play in the dirt,” work with his hands, and solve problems. He feels lucky he found his way into plumbing as it turned out to be the perfect fit, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Outside of work, Purcell’s focus is family and enjoying life’s little luxuries—collecting sneakers and cologne, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with the people who matter most.
